A little about me...

Hi, I’m Jess. I’m a branding designer and marketer from funky Fort Worth, TX, where I live happily with my human and furry children. My daughter and I have a dog named Roxie, and 2 cats named George and Bandit.

I came to branding design and marketing via a winding path. I was never much of an artist as a kid. In fact, I was one of many people who decided at all too young an age that since I couldn’t draw a realistic person or unicorn or whatever, I must not be any good at art, so I stopped trying. Instead, I became an avid reader and writer. When I graduated high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do, but I knew I liked helping people, so I started college majoring in Counseling Psychology. I left a few years and majors later as an Elementary Education dropout.

After college, I went to work for an educational software company as a customer service rep. After a few years there, someone was fool enough to hire me to establish and develop the company’s “social networks”. I auditioned for the role by creating sample blog posts, Facebook posts, and providing plans for how I would engage our users. I was smitten, and a love for marketing (especially social media) was born.

Since then, I have worked for two agencies and a local small (now mid-size) business in a variety of marketing capacities; as a project coordinator, social media manager, and content creator. In my work, I learned quickly that online marketing was highly visual, and was becoming even more so. So, I decided to go back to school and learn graphic design and production. It was there that I found my other true love: branding design.

Today, I am combining these two passions to help business owners with branding that tells their story and marketing strategy that brings their audience in to hear it, touch it, taste it, and ultimately buy it.

Enough about me. Let's talk about you.
